Hello! I am Nikki Raitz.
(b. 1999) Nikki Raitz is an author and multi-media artist currently based in Atlanta, Georgia. Though trained classically as an oil painter, Raitz pursues work as both a photographer and an illustrator with equal passion. Her artistic practice centers around the exploration of global cultures and how they intersect with nature and mysticism. She is often inspired by folklore and legends from regions around the world.
As a photographer, Raitz’s work often highlights the interaction of color with the environment to create pieces that are steeped in emotion and a whimsical atmosphere. This is evident in both natural and urban scenes that she has captured throughout her travels both near and far.
As an illustrator, Raitz’s work approaches themes from global literature and legends through a lens of stylized realism and botanical design. Raitz draws inspiration from cultural fairytales found across the globe and the beauty hidden in the natural world.
